Once Upon A Frill 2026|Melbourne

On July 26, 2026, Morpho had the honor of joining Australia’s largest Lolita fashion event, Once Upon A Frill 2026 in Melbourne, as a Pop-Up brand through GLM (Gothic & Lolita Market).

We were also incredibly honored to be invited as a guest brand and to present our collection on the runway during the fashion show.

On Friday evening, we were invited to a wonderful VVIP dinner with the event organizers and guests.

It was a truly memorable evening, where we enjoyed delicious Australian cuisine, including an incredible steak and some of the sweetest, most flavorful onions we have ever tasted.

Thank you for creating such a warm and unforgettable experience.

Day 1 | Rehearsal

Our journey began on Friday with rehearsals.

We spent the day fitting the models, practicing runway walks, and refining poses together.

The wonderful models who represented Morpho were already fans of our brand before the event. Their passion and enthusiasm were inspiring, and they genuinely wanted to help make Morpho shine even brighter.

Meeting people who love our brand across the world was an incredibly special experience, and we are sincerely grateful to every model who supported us.

Day 2 | Fashion Show & Afternoon Tea

Saturday was the day of the fashion show.

Despite an early call time of 7:30 a.m., every model delivered an incredible performance on the runway.

This time, I, Hibiki Himehiiragi, also had the opportunity to walk the runway wearing my own designs.

Standing on a runway in Melbourne and presenting Morpho to an international audience was truly a dream come true—an unforgettable milestone in my journey as a designer.

After the show, we attended the event’s Afternoon Tea.

It was a wonderful experience to enjoy a style of afternoon tea that felt uniquely Australian, with a generous selection of savory dishes alongside beautiful desserts.

Sunday was our Pop-Up day.

We were so happy to meet so many local Lolitas, and many visitors came specifically to see Morpho.

Almost all of our ready-to-wear pieces sold out by lunchtime, and many of our accessories and headpieces also found new homes.

Being able to speak directly with everyone and seeing how much Morpho has grown internationally made this an incredibly meaningful and heartwarming day.

Looking Ahead

This was Morpho’s first overseas Pop-Up since 2023.

Looking back, it is amazing to see how much the brand has grown. Being invited back as a guest brand this time was a truly meaningful achievement.

Every time I attend an international Lolita event, I am reminded that Lolita fashion is more than clothing—it is a culture and a community built on creativity, kindness, and a shared love for beautiful fashion.

No matter where we come from or what language we speak, our shared passion allows us to connect beyond borders.

That is one of the most beautiful things about the Lolita community.

Morpho will continue striving to share this culture with even more people around the world.

Through future tea parties, events, and international activities, I hope to meet even more wonderful people, gain new inspiration, and continue evolving Lolita fashion together.

To everyone who visited our booth, the event organizers, staff, models, and everyone involved with Once Upon A Frill—thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A special thank you as well to GLM (Gothic & Lolita Market) for giving Morpho this incredible opportunity.

Thank you, Melbourne.

We look forward to sharing many more beautiful moments with you around the world.

With love,

Hibiki Himehiiragi
